realising my geeky side, it's taken years. I came out of the gay closet at 15, but it took longer for the geekisms to reveal themselves. However, I'm also occasionally a serious extrovert who likes to tease other gay geeks into talking. I'm not sure why I'm here. I read books about linguistic semantics and medieval history and write and smoke too many cigarettes and drink too much coffee (heaven = an endless existential cafe...) I'm a work in progress. Utterly self-conscious and self-assured. A mess. But sometimes kinda funny. You can hit me, but I'll mess you up.

Tue, November 29, 2005 - 6:34 AMHey John- welcome :-)
If you're only occasionally a serious extrovert are you mostly a silly introvert? ;-) (speaking as an introvert himself.....)
Reminds me of a friend who sold furniture, including occasional tables - another friend of ours asked what they were when they weren't tables :-)

Tue, November 29, 2005 - 4:56 PMah! now that's witty, indeed - a lost art, I think. Sarcasm is often mistaken for wit, and yes I love sarcasm, but, not as good as table observations...
Reminds me of a line in a Nick and Nora Charles film:
'Jeeves, serve the nuts. I mean, serve the nuts to the guests.'
