Do you attend yearly conferences of any kind?
Major ones like Comdex, or smaller, regional ones?

Re: conferences, etc.
Sun, August 15, 2004 - 8:59 AMbecause I'm in the food side of design, my conferences tend to be things like the Fancy Food Show and small various food-related events. Although I have been known to go to Macworld every so often, even though I just end up pining for a whole new set of toys I know I can't afford...

Re: conferences, etc.
Thu, August 19, 2004 - 5:16 PMI used to attend Seybold SF and NY and Macworld SF. I would love to attend DRUPA in Düsseldorf but just missed this year. It's only every 4 years so I'll have to wait. I have also attended the DDAP (Digital Distribution of Advertising for Publication) annual meeting. I also would have loved to attend NAB in Las Vegas as well. It always seems like it's a very good show. It has been very good! It all depends on the company I'm working for at the time and whether or not they'll allow me to go...It really helps in planning for technology upgrades, etc. for budgetary purposes. It used to be very helpful until developers stopped giving any pre-release information on products.

Fri, August 20, 2004 - 9:11 AMI do go to the Comdex, PC Expo, Tech Expo and every other geek expo they have at the Jacob Javits. Not by choice though. I'm obligated to go. But it's fun to get the freebies.
