Re: roarin in the mist
Wed, October 13, 2004 - 8:14 AMHmmm...where is the roarin comin from? Fans? Hard Drive? CDROM??? If there is a CD in the drive, take it out and then see if it goes away. Silly answer, but the newer CDROMS sound like a freakin jetpack when you boot up with a CD in there. -

Re: roarin in the mist
Mon, November 15, 2004 - 5:02 AMthe roarin is coming from the back area of the computer. i know what u mean about the cdroms making racin noise mines does sounds like the disc is goin 2 jump out the machine. But the noise i'm hearin is in the back.
If i need a new psu whats a good one moderately price and how hard are they 2 install -

Re: roarin in the mist
Tue, November 16, 2004 - 8:17 AMYou can get a decent power supply for about $50 or 60. Don't go cheap on this. You have to remember, you get what you pay for. But, you may be able to replace the fan in the existing power supply for like 5 or 10 bucks. Worth checking into. For a PS, I'd recommend Antec.
