Hey All,

Last nite I got an OGO. I have to say I love it. It's freaking cool.

www.attwirless.com/ogo.

For the 100 bucks, it may not be a Blackberry or a Sidekick but it's got no contract and I can get my email on the road and IM people!

Anyone else have one?

I have a sidekick II and I can POP my mac.com email.

You can POP using the Ogo as well.

I just ordered mine. It looks really cool. I'd been looking at both the Sidekick & Blackberry, but the price is perfect for the OGO.

True..the Ogo is geared more for people who just want basic IM/email ability.

It all depends on your needs. Some reviews for the Ogo have been positive and some have been scathing.

But, again it all depends on the user's needs.

Personally, I love my Sidekick II for all of my data needs: organizer, IM, email, address book, lite browsing.

I agree the Sidekick II is nice but for what I needed it was just the thing.

I have a Motorola v515 which is a great phone. I also am into Cingular for a 2 yr contract. I also didn't like the price T-Mo was asking for the Sidekick II. (It's not a bad price but when you already have a great phone and service u like...)

What I do love about my ogo is:
        1. The price 99 bucks (actually right now it's only 49.99)
        2. No contract
        3. The full sized keyboard for texting

Truly I don't think it's a thing of which is better Ogo vs Sidekick II, it's more of a what do you need. If you don't need a cell phone or a contract...the Ogo's great. They both offer great features and for the most part except the browser and the PDA features, the same basic fatures.

Actually the price of the Side Kick II is misleading. I wasn't going to get one because of the price, but it was free at the T-Mobile store with instant rebates.

The surprising thing is that I've only seen that price on one online merchants site. Go figure...

            I am addicted!
            chat anywhere! e-mail anywhere!
            ahhhh...

I use Muni / Bart to go to work, so it'll freakin useful and fun to use chat while i am on the muni.

Only the bad thing is battery doesn't last that long.. but good for a day.

Does sidekick provides Y! / MSN IM as well as AIM? if so, it's nice to get one but if not... ogo is the perfect choice for meh.

Gald to see you feel the same.

I have a solution for your batt prob (it happens to me too). It up fry's or best buy or online for a plug that lets you plug a usb cable into it. It cost me 20 bucks I actually got one for the car in the same pack and a cable. This lets me recharge at work!

Here's what i am talking about...

The Sidekick II does have the ability to install Yahoo! Messenger if it is desired. AIM is already installed out of the box.

No MSN Messenger though...who even uses that? :)

but only Tmobile carries it right? what would happen if i insert cingular's sim card into sidekick?

only tmobile carries the Sidekick's compatible data plan. If you unlocked the sidekick, you could theoretically activate it with cingular (if the rep knew what you were even talking about...not likely) and use your cingular sim card but the skII would only function as a phone.

And, that is definitely not the reason you would have the sidekick. :)
